No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. Ceramic coating is scratch-resistant, not scratch-proof, it resists swirl marks from washing and minor abrasion, but a key, a stone chip or a deep impact will still damage the paint underneath.

What coating does do well is buy you tolerance against everyday wear and make minor marks far less visible.

Usually due to poor preparation or lack of proper maintenance. If the paint isn't properly decontaminated, corrected and prepped before coating, the bond is weak from day one, and you'll see hydrophobic performance drop within months.

This is why we run an 8-step process for every car, not just the most expensive ones. Proper preparation isn't an upsell, it's the work itself.

Honest answer: in Singapore's heat, humidity and frequent rain, a professionally applied ceramic coating typically delivers 3 to 5 years of strong performance, with the Titanium tier extending to 5-7 years with annual inspection.

"Lifetime" claims you may see in advertising rarely hold up here. Our climate is one of the harshest on automotive coatings in the world. We'd rather tell you the real number, and back it with a warranty you can actually use, than overpromise.

Wash as normal using a pH-neutral car shampoo and a soft microfiber mitt. The hydrophobic surface means dirt and grime rinse off much more easily than uncoated paint.

You don't need any extra wax, polish or sealant on top, in fact, applying wax over ceramic coating can reduce its hydrophobic performance. Just clean bird droppings, tree sap or insect residue promptly so they don't stain.

They protect paint in different ways. PPF is a physical film that absorbs stone chips and deeper scratches.

However, in Singapore's hot and humid environment, especially for cars parked outdoors, PPF requires more effort to maintain its appearance. Over time, owners may notice:
