Spray painting and bodywork

Full respray

A full respray is the spray painting of an entire vehicle exterior, typically as part of a colour change, restoration, or cosmetic refresh.

What it means

A full respray is a multi-day, multi-stage job. The car is fully stripped of trims, badges, and rubber seals so that every paintable surface can be prepped to a clean, even substrate. Existing paint is sanded down, dents and chips are filled, and primer is reapplied wherever bare metal or filler is exposed. The car is then masked and sprayed in our booth: primer to base coat to clear coat, panel by panel, with oven-baked curing between major stages. Once the paint has fully cured, the car is reassembled, polished, and inspected. Total turnaround at Revol Carz is typically 5 to 10 working days depending on the colour, the condition of the existing paint, and how much filling and prep is required. Indicative pricing is from S$1,300.

Why it matters in Singapore

Full resprays in Singapore are usually one of three jobs: a colour change driven by personal preference, a major restoration on a longer-held car, or recovery of a car whose original paint has oxidised or faded past the point where partial work would help. In all three cases, the value of the respray depends as much on the prep and the booth as on the spray itself. A bad respray is worse than an honest faded original.

How Revol Carz handles this

Revol Carz handles full resprays at our Toh Guan facility using Spies Hecker paint, computerised colour matching against the desired target colour, and oven-baked curing in our Italian Saima dust-free booth. Owners get WhatsApp updates at each stage and a fixed timeline at the start.
