What the car came in for

This Audi A5 came in with light scratches and paint chips. The owner wanted a fresh coat of paint, along with a few changes: the door handles, rear bumper and roof finished in a contrasting colour.

Over the course of a week the team dismantled the necessary parts, repaired the body and applied putty, wet-sanded it smooth, masked off every non-painted surface, and resprayed the car in the booth. A ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating went on at the end. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.

What a full respray involves

A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team patches chips, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.

  • Scratches and chips repaired and patched smooth
  • Contrast panels masked and sprayed in sequence
  • Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
  • Buffed to a deep shine and sealed with ZeTough Ceramic

When a customer wants contrast panels, careful masking does the work: the team sprays one colour, masks it off, then sprays the next. Once the car is finished in the booth, the paint is sanded and polished, the trim is refitted, and a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating is applied on top.
