This Audi Q5 came in with dents, scratches, and chipped paintwork. It went out with a full exterior respray and a refreshed interior detail.

What the car came in for

This Audi Q5 came in for a full exterior respray. Its paintwork had picked up dents, scratches, and chips, and the owner wanted the car restored to a like-new condition inside and out.

The team checked the body in detail, repaired and patched every imperfection, then wet-sanded the whole car smooth before masking and spraying it in the booth. After spraying, the surface was sanded and buffed, the parts were refitted, and the interior was given a fresh detail. The photos below follow the car through the job.

From patching to the reveal

What a full respray involves

A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team checks the body in detail, repairs and patches the imperfections, then wet-sands the whole car smooth and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.

  • Buffed to a mirror shine, with a fresh interior detail

Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is wet-sanded again and buffed to a mirror shine, and the trim and parts are refitted. A fresh interior detail rounds out the job so the car looks restored inside and out.
