🎨What the car came in for
This Audi S5 came in with scratches and paint chips across many areas of the body, along with a sizeable dent on the rear panel. The owner wanted the car restored to showroom condition.
Over the course of a week the team removed the bumpers, mirrors and other parts, repaired the scratches and dent, applied putty to bring back the original body lines, then wet-sanded the whole car smooth before spraying. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.
🛠️What a full respray involves
A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team dismantles parts, repairs dents and scratches, patches chips, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.
- Dents and scratches repaired before any paint
- Body wet-sanded smooth and the lines brought back
- Every non-painted surface masked before spraying
- Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is sanded and polished to bring up the shine, and the trim and parts are refitted. The result is an even, glossy finish across the whole car.
