BMW 1 Series after its full body respray at Revol Carz, polished and detailed.

What the car came in for

This BMW 1 Series came to Revol Carz for a full body respray. The paintwork had accumulated scratches and imperfections over time, and the owner wanted it restored to a clean, even finish.

Over five working days the team inspected and repaired every panel, wet-sanded the surface smooth, masked the car, sprayed and polished, then reassembled it. The photos below follow the work from Day 3 through to the before and after reveal on Day 7, along with a full interior groom to finish.

What a full respray involves

A full respray starts long before any paint is applied. The team strips the car of trim and removable parts, then checks every panel for scratches, dents, and uneven surfaces. Each imperfection is patched with filler, sanded back, and checked again until the foundation is right.

  • Every panel inspected and imperfections repaired before painting
  • Full wet sanding for a smooth, level foundation
  • New coat applied in a controlled spray booth
  • Post-spray wet sand and machine polish for a deep gloss

At Revol Carz the surface is wet-sanded until it is perfectly level, then masked and primed before the new coat goes on in the spray booth. After painting the car is wet-sanded a final time, machine-polished to bring up the gloss, and then reassembled.
