The paintwork on this BMW 2 Series had lost its lustre, with deep scratches, dents, and peeling paint across several panels, so the car came in for a full exterior respray.

🎨What the car came in for
This BMW 2 Series arrived at Revol Carz with tired paintwork. The surface had lost its shine and carried deep scratches, dents, and patches of peeling paint across different panels. The owner decided to send the car in for a full exterior respray.
Over about seven days the car was dismantled, its panels repaired and wet-sanded smooth, masked, then resprayed and polished. The photos below follow that work from the day it arrived through to the before and after reveal.

🛠️What a full respray involves
A full respray is more than a change of colour. The result depends on what happens before any paint is laid: dismantling trim and parts, checking the surface for scratches, dents, and dings, and patching uneven areas until everything is smooth.
Trim and parts dismantled for full access
Scratches, dents, and dings repaired and patched
Surface wet-sanded smooth and level
Resprayed, then polished through several rounds
At Revol Carz the panels are wet-sanded level, then carefully masked before spraying. After the new coat is laid, the painter examines it for blemishes and polishes it through several rounds to bring out the shine. The car is then reassembled and given a final detail inside and out.
