BMW 5 Series, resprayed back to showroom glory.

The owner wanted this 5 Series revived to the way it looked when new. The car came in for a full exterior respray, finished with a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating.

What the car came in for

The owner of this BMW 5 Series wanted his car brought back to its showroom condition. The paintwork had lost its shine, so the car came in for a full exterior respray.

Over the course of a week the team dismantled the necessary parts, scanned the body for scratches and dents, patched the imperfections, and wet-sanded the whole surface smooth before spraying the car in the booth. A ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating went on at the end to lock in the gloss. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.

From dismantling to the reveal

What a full respray involves

A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team dismantles the necessary parts, patches scratches and dents, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.

  • Body wet-sanded smooth and fully masked before spraying
  • Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
  • Buffed to a deep shine and sealed with ZeTough Ceramic

Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is wet-sanded and buffed to bring up the shine, the trim and parts are refitted, and a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating is applied on top to keep the finish glossy and protected for years.
