🎨What the car came in for
This BMW 5 Series was brought in for a damage assessment. It had a large dent that needed repair, along with scratches across many panels, and the owner decided on a full repaint.
Over the course of a week the team dismantled the necessary parts, repaired the dent and scratches, patched and puttied the body, then wet-sanded the whole car smooth before masking and spraying. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.
🛠️What a full respray involves
A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team dismantles parts, repairs dents and scratches, patches chips, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.
- Dents and scratches repaired before any paint
- Body wet-sanded smooth and the lines brought back
- Every non-painted surface masked before spraying
- Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is sanded and polished to bring up the shine, and the trim and parts are refitted. The result is an even, glossy finish across the whole car.
