BMW 5 Series, resprayed back to a showroom finish.

This BMW 5 Series came in with scarred, dull paintwork across the whole car. Over seven days it was stripped down, patched, wet-sanded, sprayed, polished, and sealed with a ZeTough Ceramic coating.

What the car came in for

This BMW 5 Series arrived at Revol Carz with scarred paintwork, dull paint, and blemishes across the body. The owner wanted the car fully resprayed and protected, restoring it to the kind of even, deep finish it had when it left the factory.

Over seven days the car was stripped down, its panels patched and wet-sanded smooth, then masked, sprayed, and polished. The photos below follow the job from the day it arrived through to the before and after reveal, with a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating applied at the end.

From strip-down to the reveal

What a full respray involves

A full respray is not just a change of colour. The result depends on what happens before any paint goes on: dismantling trim and parts, checking every panel for imperfections, patching and filling uneven areas, and wet-sanding until the surface is perfectly smooth.

  • Surface stripped, patched, and wet-sanded smooth before any paint
  • Primer coat for a stable, long-lasting finish
  • Polished to a deep, even shine after spraying
  • Sealed with a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating

At Revol Carz the panels are primed, wet-sanded again, then carefully masked before spraying. After the coat is laid the paint is sanded once more, polished to bring up the shine, and the car is reassembled. A ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating seals the new finish and keeps it glossy for years.
