BMW 7 Series, resprayed back to like-new condition.

This 7 Series had picked up countless stone chips and scratches across the paintwork. The owner wanted it restored, so the car went in for a full exterior respray, finished with a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating.

What the car came in for

This BMW 7 Series had picked up countless stone chips and scratches across the paintwork. The owner wanted the car restored to like-new condition, so it came in for a full exterior respray.

Over the course of a week the team dismantled the necessary parts, scanned the body for scratches and stone chips, patched the imperfections, and wet-sanded the whole surface smooth before spraying the car in the booth. A ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating went on at the end for an enriched, glossy finish. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.

From patching to the reveal

The BMW 7 Series as it arrived at Revol Carz before the respray.

What a full respray involves

A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team dismantles the necessary parts, patches stone chips and scratches, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.

  • Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
  • Buffed to a deep shine and sealed with ZeTough Ceramic

Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is wet-sanded and buffed to bring up the shine, the trim and parts are refitted, and a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating is applied on top to keep the finish glossy and protected for years.
