Spray Painting Panel Respray BMW
BMW X3 SUV after a full respray at Revol Carz, paintwork restored to a smooth, even finish.

What the car came in for

This BMW X3 came to Revol Carz with faded paint, surface scratches, stone chips, and blemishes across the body. The owner wanted the car brought back to the kind of clean, even finish it had when it left the showroom.

Over six days the car was stripped down, each panel checked for imperfections, patched and wet-sanded smooth, then masked and resprayed. The photos below follow that work from the day it arrived through to the before and after reveal.

What a full respray involves

A full respray starts well before any paint is mixed. Getting a lasting result means taking the car apart properly, inspecting every panel, patching and filling imperfections, and wet-sanding the surface level. The quality of the finish depends on what happens at this stage.

  • Every panel stripped, inspected, and patched before painting begins
  • Wet-sanding at multiple stages for a smooth, level surface
  • Oven-baked coat, then sanded and machine-polished to a deep shine
  • Full reassembly with careful attention to edges and trim

At Revol Carz the panels are primed, wet-sanded again, and carefully masked before the car goes into the spray booth. After the new coat is applied and oven-baked, the paint is sanded once more and then machine-polished to bring up an even, deep shine before reassembly.
