🎨What the car came in for
This Honda Civic arrived with dull paintwork, along with paint chips and scratches across several panels. The owner wanted the car restored to showroom condition.
Over the course of a week the team dismantled the necessary parts, inspected the body for scratches and dents, patched the uneven areas, then wet-sanded the whole car smooth before masking and spraying. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.
🛠️What a full respray involves
A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team dismantles parts, patches chips and scratches, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.
- Chips and scratches patched before any paint
- Body wet-sanded smooth in preparation for spraying
- Every non-painted surface masked before spraying
- Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is sanded and polished to bring up the shine, and the trim and parts are refitted. The result is an even, glossy finish across the whole car.
