What the car came in for

This Honda HR-V came to Revol Carz with faded, dull paintwork, scratches, dents, paint peeling and stone chips across the body. The owner wanted the car brought back to a clean, consistent finish.

Over seven days, the car was stripped down, panels patched and wet-sanded smooth, masked, then resprayed and polished. The photos below follow the work from the day it arrived through to the before and after reveal.

What a full respray involves

A full respray depends on preparation. Before any paint is applied, trim and parts are removed, the surface is inspected, chips and dents are patched with filler, and every panel is wet-sanded until the foundation is level and smooth.

  • Surface stripped, patched, and wet-sanded smooth before any paint
  • Primer coat for a stable, long-lasting finish
  • Oven-baked, then sanded and polished to a deep shine
  • All trim and parts professionally removed and refitted

At Revol Carz the panels are primed, wet-sanded again, then carefully masked before spraying. After the coat is applied, the paint is sanded and polished to bring up the shine, and the car is reassembled.
