The owner of this Lexus RX400h brought the car in for a complete respray to restore its paintwork. Over seven days the car was stripped down, patched, wet-sanded, sprayed, and polished.

What the car came in for

This Lexus RX400h came to Revol Carz for a full body respray. The owner wanted to restore the paintwork to showroom condition, removing years of chips, uneven surfaces, and faded finish.

Over seven days the car was stripped down, each panel checked for imperfections, patched, and wet-sanded smooth before the new coat was laid. The photos below follow that process from the day it arrived through to the before and after reveal.

What a full respray involves

A full respray is not just a change of colour. The result depends on the preparation: dismantling trim and parts, inspecting every panel for chips and imperfections, patching uneven areas with filler, and wet-sanding until the foundation is perfectly smooth.

  • Surface stripped, patched, and wet-sanded smooth before any paint
  • Primer coat for a stable, long-lasting finish
  • Oven-baked, then sanded and machine-polished to a deep shine
  • Full reassembly with every part refitted and checked

At Revol Carz the panels are primed and wet-sanded again before masking. After the coat is laid and oven-baked, the paint is sanded once more and machine-polished to bring up the gloss, then the car is fully reassembled.
