Mercedes-Benz E200, a full respray finished with ZeTough Ceramic.

This black Mercedes-Benz E200 came in with dull paint, scratches and stone chips. The team gave it a full respray, then sealed the new paint with ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection.

What the car came in for

Time and wear had left this Mercedes-Benz E200 with dull, lifeless paint, plus scratches and stone chips across the body. The owner asked for a full new coat of paint and paint protection on top.

On day 3 the team examined the surface and repaired and patched each scratch and blemish. On day 4 the whole body was wet-sanded smooth and given a layer of primer.

Day 5 was masking, to keep paint off the areas that should not be sprayed. On day 6 the car was sprayed, wet-sanded and polished again, and the removed parts were refitted, with ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection applied to the new finish.

What a full respray involves

A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team patches chips, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.

  • Chips patched and the body wet-sanded smooth
  • Every non-painted surface masked before spraying
  • Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
  • Buffed to a deep shine and sealed with ZeTough Ceramic

Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is wet-sanded and buffed to bring up the shine, the trim and parts are refitted, and a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating is applied on top to keep the finish glossy and protected for years.
