Mercedes-Benz S350L, resprayed and back to its former glory.

The owner wanted this Mercedes-Benz S350L restored to the way it looked when new. The car came in for a full exterior respray, finished with a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating.

What the car came in for

The owner of this Mercedes-Benz S350L wanted his car brought back to its former glory. It came in for a full exterior respray, with a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating to follow.

Over the course of the job the team dismantled the necessary parts, checked the body for imperfections and patched them, then masked off every non-painted surface before spraying. The new paint was sanded back, polished, and the parts refitted, with a ceramic coating to seal the finish. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.

What a full respray involves

A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team dismantles parts, patches chips and uneven areas, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.

Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is sanded and polished to bring up the shine, the trim and parts are refitted, and a ZeTough Ceramic Paint Protection coating is applied on top to keep the finish glossy and protected for years.
