Mercedes-Benz CLA180, brought back to a showroom finish.

Stone chips, scratches and dents had dulled this CLA180's paintwork, so the car came in for a full respray and a ZeTough Ceramic coating.

What the car came in for

This Mercedes-Benz CLA180 arrived at Revol Carz with bland, tired paintwork. Stone chips, scratches and dents had built up across the panels, and the owner wanted the car restored to its showroom condition.

Over seven days the car was stripped down, every imperfection patched, the surface wet-sanded smooth, masked, then resprayed and polished. The photos below follow that work from the day it arrived through to the before and after reveal, with the car sealed in a ZeTough Ceramic coating at the end.

What a full respray involves

A full respray is not just a change of colour. The result depends on what happens before any paint is laid: dismantling trim and parts, checking every inch of the surface for imperfections, patching chips and dents, and wet-sanding until the foundation is smooth.

  • Surface stripped, patched, and wet-sanded smooth before any paint
  • Non-painted surfaces carefully masked before spraying
  • Polished to a smooth, deep gloss after the coat is laid
  • Sealed with a ZeTough Ceramic coating

At Revol Carz the panels are masked, then resprayed in the booth. After the coat is laid, the paint is wet-sanded and polished to a smooth, even finish and the car is reassembled. A ZeTough Ceramic coating on top keeps the new paint protected and glossy.
