🎨What the car came in for
This Mitsubishi Evo came in with paint chips and scratches across its panels. The owner wanted the car restored with a fresh coat of paint.
Over six days the team removed the bumpers, mirrors, spoiler and other parts, repaired the scratches and applied putty, then wet-sanded the whole car smooth before masking and spraying. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.
🛠️What a full respray involves
A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team dismantles parts, repairs scratches, applies putty, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.
- Scratches repaired and putty applied where needed
- Body wet-sanded smooth before any paint
- Every non-painted surface masked before spraying
- Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is sanded and polished to bring up the shine, and the trim and parts are refitted. The result is an even, glossy finish across the whole car.
