🎨What the car came in for
This Skoda Kodiaq arrived at the workshop with paint chips and scratches across several panels. The owner wanted the car restored to showroom condition with a fresh coat of paint, so it came in for a full exterior respray.
Over the course of the job the team dismantled the necessary parts, examined the paintwork for scratches and chips and applied putty to level them, wet-sanded the body smooth, masked off the non-painted surfaces, and resprayed the car in the booth. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.
🛠️What a full respray involves
A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team patches chips, applies putty to level them, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.
- Chips puttied and the body wet-sanded smooth
- Every non-painted surface masked before spraying
- Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
- Wet-sanded and buffed to an even, deep shine
Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is wet-sanded and buffed to bring up the shine, and the trim and parts are refitted. The result is an even, glossy finish across every panel.
