🎨What the car came in for
This Toyota Corolla Altis rolled in with dents and a massive scratch that needed repair, along with a fresh coat of paint. The owner wanted the car restored to its former glory, so it came in for a full exterior respray.
Over the course of a week the team dismantled the necessary parts, repaired the dent and scratch damage, wet-sanded the whole surface smooth, and masked the body before spraying the car in the booth. Compound polishing brought up the mirror-shine finish before the removed parts were refitted. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.
🛠️What a full respray involves
A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team dismantles the necessary parts, repairs dents and scratches, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.
- Parts dismantled and dents and scratches repaired
- Body wet-sanded smooth and fully masked before spraying
- Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
- Compound-polished to a deep, even mirror shine
Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is wet-sanded and compound-polished to a mirror shine, then the trim and parts are refitted. The result is an even, glossy finish across every panel.
