🎨What the car came in for
The paintwork on this Toyota Vios had seen better days, with deep scratches and stone chips across most of the panels. The owner asked to have the finish restored to its original condition with a full exterior respray.
Over the course of a week the team dismantled the necessary parts, patched the imperfections, wet-sanded the body smooth, masked off every non-painted surface, and resprayed the car in the booth. The interior was groomed to finish. The photos below follow the car from arrival to the finished reveal.
🛠️What a full respray involves
A full respray is mostly preparation. Before any colour goes on, the team patches chips, wet-sands the whole body smooth, and masks off every surface that should not be painted. A sound, even foundation is what makes the final finish look right.
- Chips patched and the body wet-sanded smooth
- Every non-painted surface masked before spraying
- Full exterior coat applied in a dedicated spray booth
- Buffed to a deep shine before the trim is refitted
Once the car is sprayed in the booth, the paint is wet-sanded and polished to bring up the shine, and the trim and parts are refitted. Careful prep and a controlled booth are what keep the finish even across every panel.
